This building was originally constructed in 1913 for Smiths Industries. They made the first-ever speedometers for the motor car, so the building has some industrial heritage within its walls.

Opem was commissioned to enhance the security infrastructure at Fora’s The Smiths Building, a structure with rich industrial heritage dating back to 1913 when it was originally constructed for Smiths Industries, known for making the first-ever speedometers for motor cars. This project required sophisticated commercial security solutions to cater to the building’s unique needs, including 24-hour access.

Opem deployed Salto Space access control systems alongside CCTV and remote monitoring to deliver a comprehensive security solution tailored to The Smiths Building. Key elements of the solution included:
