Opem Security is the proud sponsor of rising equestrian athletes, Lillie (16) and Miley (7). Despite their years, the girls have displayed a maturity and natural aptitude for the sport. Testament to their success, they already have a fully stocked trophy cabinet bursting at the seams, showcasing their achievements. Both girls are members of Saddleworth and District Pony Club and Rochdale and District Riding Club.
The pair regularly compete in a range of prestigious events across the country, including dressage, showjumping, cross country, One Day Events and more. Lillie recently surpassed all expectations, by being the youngest participant of a BE80T consisting of Dressage Show Jumping and Cross Country. . Lillie faced stiff competition, riding alongside seasoned professionals and Olympians, Lillie gained an impressive 24.5 Dressage score, Clear Show Jumping and hit optimum time cross country to be placed 1st.

Miley (7), is equally showing great potential and in October 2020 at Arc Equestrian Show. She came 1st Young Handler 1st Equitation and qualified through to the evening performance and claimed the prized title of overall Reserve Junior Champion. Miley too is getting the showjumping bug and is showing great potential.
Due to the pandemic, the girl’s collective passion for competing in national events has been halted. However, this hasn’t extinguished their drive and love of the sport. Most days the girls can be found at the stables, pushing to complete training drills or tending to the rigorous grooming and needs of their beloved horses.
When asked where their passion came for riding, Lillie’s mother responded.
Opem are incredibly proud to sponsor rising stars, Lillie and Miley on their journey, and have been blown away by their achievements so far. We would like to wish the girls all our luck and will continue to support their sporting endeavours, including support with equipment and entry fees. Something tells us that it won’t be long until we see them competing in the Olympics.
